Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The roads network is a center line shapefile. Parts of this layer were created during the Andros Conservatin Action Plan (CAP) process where roads were digitized from satellite imagery and topographic maps from the Bahamas Department Lands and Survey. The network was expanded through heads-up digitizing in QGIS using the Google and Bing imagery base layers in September 2015 by Teresa Gomez, a student contrator of the Nature Conservancy (TNC), with funding from the Inter-American Development Bank’s Ecosystem-based Development for Andros Island, The Bahamas Project. Some of the roads were attributed with a category of 1, 2 or 3, which is likely to represent the difference between primary roads (with a category of "1") and secondary roads (with a category of "2" or "3"). Roads with a value of "0" appear not to have been classified. When viewed over a satellite imagery, one will observe shifts in the center line from the road in the image in a few places places. This is likely due to errors persisting from when the file was originally created in 2006. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
